Dr. Tara SingerFriday 8:30am - Changes in Higher Education and the Impact on Honor Societies

Dr. Tara Singer was named as Omicron Delta Kappa's fifth executive director in April 2013. As O∆K's executive director, she is the chief executive officer for the society and its foundation.

Tara previously served numerous universities in the south and the midwest, including her alma mater–the University of Louisville. She has a Doctor of Education in educational administration, a Master of Arts in higher education administration, and a Bachelor of Arts with honors in American studies.

Additionally, she has coordinated numerous state, regional, and national conferences and has edited and co-authored various publications, including one book and several articles in refereed journals.

A 1981 initiate of the Beta Epsilon Circle at the University of Louisville, Tara served as the faculty officer for the University of West Georgia Circle during her tenure as UWG's vice president for university advancement. She is also a member of Alpha Omicron Pi fraternity and Mortar Board.

She is the mother of three grown sons and splits her time between homes in Greenwood and Waynesboro, Virginia.
